Stories of hope

Susan Robinson: Donor mother and founder of Love Rocks

Donor mother, Susan, with Abigail and Anna

Susan and Tom Robinson lost both of their daughters in a tragic car accident in 2013. Following the deaths of Abigail and Anna, Tom and Susan learned Abigail would be able to save the lives of others by donating both of her kidneys and her liver.

To honor both Abigail and Anna, they started an organization, Love Rocks, that has a mission to spread love and joy. In 2020, UNOS recognized and awarded Tom and Susan with the National Donor Memorial Award for Excellence for their dedication and advocacy for organ donation.

Here, Susan shares her family’s story and their feelings about Abigail’s ability to give the gift of life.
