Stories of hope

Stephen Johnson: 40 years later

Stephen Johnson

The purpose of my video is to quickly explain how, in 40 short years, I went from being an organ donor to an organ recipient. The EKG at the end of the video was my actual EKG when I was admitted to the in April of 2018.

Boat celebrating new heartAfter my transplant was done and I was released, my wife let me order a new boat. My intention was to name it “Dedicated” due to the cost of the boat and the costs of offshore fishing. However, my lovely wife elected to name it “Change of Heart” and as we all know, “if momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy!”

The logo creates a great deal of conversation at boat ramps and allows me an excellent opportunity to share my experience and promote organ donations.
