Stories of hope

Jill Thorne of Rescue, CA

Jill Thorne

I received a heart transplant 22 years ago. I was born with a heart defect and after a couple of heart surgeries-the surgeons just decided to replace it 🙂

I was 17 when I received the transplant. Since then I have gone on to graduate highschool, obtain a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and work full time. I have also been able to travel and in 2000 I married my best friend. I now stay at home & teach my 2 children.

My daughter was the 34th child born to a heart transplant recipient nationwide & my son is the 12th – “2nd child” born to a heart transplant recipient.
