“On March 9, 2018, I received the gift of a new heart! I am forever grateful and thankful to my donor and their family for such a selfless and priceless gift. There are not enough words or emotions to express the joy and gratefulness that fills my heart. Because of my donor, I am able to have a second chance at life and that it something I will cherish for a lifetime.” Amber was the inspiration of artist Dennis Winston as part of the Gallery at UNOS “Second Chances” exhibition in September 2018.
