On World Kidney Day, to show that donors can live active adventurous lives, 22 kidney donors embarked on an amazing journey.
Shannon donated a kidney to a stranger in 2019, she was selected to be one of 22 kidney donors that represented Kidney Donor Athletes (KDA) on this One Kidney Climb. KDA’s mission is to bring awareness to living donation, demonstrate what is possible post-donation, and to launch initiatives which inspire, support, and educate people about the experience of living donation. Shannon is also the founder of the DFW One Kidney Club, a social group of over 50 local kidney donors.
