Brandee: End-stage renal failure met its match

Brandee Burdette

As my husband’s nephrologist diagnosed him with terminal end stage renal failure, we were frozen with fear of the unknown and immediately assumed the only thing to do was get his affairs in order.

Now, 245 days later, I am three weeks out from having donated my left kidney through a voucher program and anticipating my husband’s upcoming transplant. Our lives are forever changed, for the better. We are blessed to be able to spend our days working on spreading the word about renal transplant and living donors.
