Stories of hope

Brian Anderson of Lakewood, CO

Brian Anderson

In 2008 my kidneys started to fail. By early 2009 I was on dialysis. Unable to work and tethered to the house and dialysis center, my life felt as though it came to a screeching halt.

In 2010 a angel donated her kidney to me and I have not only my life back, but my ability to create amazing family memories, my career, and most of all a new outlook on my life. I appreciate it more than ever and try to take every day and enjoy the moments within them.

Living donation is an almost unknown or at best misunderstood gift. My donor is happy healthy and is the mother of a beautiful 1 year old baby boy. Her gift saved and changed my life, what can your gift do for someone else??
